There are many ways to record our life. Some people use words, someone photography, someone narration, but Cuishan choose sculpture; She thinks, in addition to recording the experience and life, the clay-sculpture-making process can also be a form of emotional conversion. The characters selected are the objects we dislike in our life. The material pulp enables us to touch them, shape them and release its spirit. From the dialogue between the objects and “us”, we learn to show respect and change our attitude towards them. This is a real sentiment sedulously expressed through art, which is to judge, select and reconstruct the reality, and make artistic changes to the phenomenon. The conception of the work originates from such a life experience, and the theme stems from fertile imagination instead of the art itself.
